Hawktail's Silence; Game 9: "It's just a nightmare... Or is it?"

Stormtail has been having the same nightmare every night since the death of his mate. No one knew what he was seeing, nobody knew how to help him. Wolffern occasionally gave him poppy seeds, but it didn't seem to be working too well. 

[With the release of Game 9]

You get to see for yourself what Stormtail's nightmares are all about, and it turns out that he's terrified of losing anyone else who he either has a close relationship with.. Or he might lose someone he barely got to know.

Something drives him in his nightmare to steal Wolffern's death berries while she's sleeping, and poison Hawkstar with them. 

After he does so, he realizes what he had just done and then he wakes up.

He wakes up to Hawkstar and Rain there with Wolffern and Cloudpaw, both trying to calm him down. 

Stormtail insists that what he had seen was real but after seeing that Hawkstar was still alive, seeing that Cloudpaw and Rain were okay, he just started freaking out. Why is he having the same nightmare everynight? Why does he dream about losing those that he loves?
